19th C. six board, pin hinge blanket box

Great six board, red 19th c. box. Good, original condition except the glove box is missing. Blanket boxes have been used for centuries as hope chests, storage, blankets, woolens and more recently as coffee tables, tv stands, etc. Back in the day when form and function ruled the ordinary home decor, the blanket box was a staple.
